Feeder Problems? Running out of material?
L-R Systems material blenders incorporate vibratory feeders to feed material from the extra large capacity holing bins to the large volume weigh hopper. The feed trays mean that material is always free flowing to the exact amount required in the weigh hopper. Vibrator feeders are more accurate than slide gates and are easy to clean and maintain compared to augers. Feeders are more forgiving on hard flowing materials, regrinds and powders flow with ease and provide you with great accuracy not just with color/virgin mix but also with regrind/virgin mix.
Accuracy in each batch
Since 1980, we have designed and listened to the requirements of our customers. Our customers were primarily blow molders and extruders. Our customers were not only concerned with the virgin color blend (color being the most expensive in the blend) but also with the regrind /virgin blend. The regrind/virgin blend effected parison control in blow molding and sheet thickness in extrusion. Later additives like anti-stats, foaming agents, post consumer recycle and other delicate additive were required to be blended at great accuracies such as ½% to virgin with a regrind consumption of up wards to 60% or greater. Our customers can not afford to be off a little on any component on any batch. That is why we look at each weighment of each component of each batch.
Homogenous blend
L-R Systems blenders incorporate large capacity mixing barrels. Each mixing barrel designed to hold several exactly weighed batches of material. This allows for a continuous homogenous blend going in to your machine. This translates in to less operator interaction, less down and less wasted material from bad product equals more profit. Large volume mixing barrels ensure a continuous and homogenous blend of material will be delivered. Surge capacity guarantees you will not run out of blended Material. L-R Systems blenders can be mounted over the machine for gravity discharge or can be fitted for vacuum conveying to the machine for no extra charge.
Cleaning, Changeover and Maintenance
The feeders incorporate seamless feed trays to feed material this seamless design allowed for the trays to be wiped out and allows for no pellets, flake or dust to be left over to contaminate your future blends. The vibratory feeders have no moving parts to maintain or ware out. Because L-R Systems material blenders use a minimal moving part, maintenance costs are almost non-existent.
Controls
For years L-R Systems has used touch screen controllers as a standard interface. L-R Systems continually listens to the requirement of our customers and makes updates to the controllers. Since the early 1990’s every controller produced is exchangeable with the latest generation of controllers. Simple plug and play allows you to take 20 year old blender and plug in a new controller manufactured today. With a little calibration you're ready to run in minutes.
Simple yes/no set up coupled with customizable operator receipt input allows you to enter exact product names and material names. Password protection allows for just not everyone accessing or changing the set up or receipts. Blending alarms and alarm tracking at the supervisor level helps you track processing issues.
